Admission

Prerequisites & Co-requisites

All applicants must have satisfactorily completed 60 semester credits / 90 quarter credits of education at the baccalaureate level that is appropriate for graduate level work, or the equivalent, from an institution, or institutions, accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (U.S.D.O.E.). A grade of ¨C〃 (2.0), ¨Pass,〃 or better must have been earned in each course.

The 60 semester credits / 90 quarter credits should include a minimum of 3 credit hours or higher of General or introductory level coursework in the following classes (otherwise they must be completed pursuant to the policy below):

  • Human Anatomy
  • Physiology
  • Western Medical Terminology
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Psychology

Otherwise, you may retake the courses in NSU.

Any admission prerequisite course may be taken during the first year of matriculation, but only if the 60 college credit requirement has first been met. For students taking any of these admission prerequisite courses within their first year, gen.eral biology must be completed before taking Western Human Anatomy, Microbiology & Physiology I; students planning to take Western Biochemistry I must first complete the General Chemistry requirement; and General Physics must be completed prior to taking Western Physics & Oriental Medicine.
